No. AR.08/2023/10.- In the interest of public service, the Governor of Assam is pleased to rename the existing (a) Tea Tribes Welfare Department as "Tea Tribes and Adivasi Welfare Department" and (b) the Directorate of Tea Tribes Welfare as "Directorate of Tea Tribes and Adivasi Welfare".

As power envisaged to the State Government under Sub section 6 ofSection 25 of Assam Panchayat Act, 1994 and in pursuance to the approval of Hon'ble Cabinet in it's meeting held on 07-03-2022, Governor of Assam is pleased to rescind the existing requirement of issuance of Trade License and suspend the levy or imposition of any tax or fee by Gaon Panchayat, Anchalik Parishad and Zilla Parishad in seting up of business activities, shops etc. except Foreign liquor and Country liquor shops, Educational institutions, Health Establishments, Brick Kilns, Mobile Tower, Petrol Pump. Timber Saw Mill, Go down and other pollutant industries.
